Footwear Trends 2011

There is nothing more satisfying (fashion wise that is) then seeing the new trends for shoes and boots that will be gracing our feet in the coming seasons.  There are some delectable delights to be sought after and to be worn; if you buy nothing else in the coming seasons make sure your shoes are high and your boots even higher.

If you think white shoes died out in the eighties, think again, this year the more elaborate the heel the more on trend you are, fashionistas will be clambering over the designer heeled sandals, echoing a porcelain look, reflecting on nature.  Heels depicting intertwining leaves, it’s about the texture and the opalescence of the shoe.  The white shoe will be the star of the outfit.

Sculpture is another key trend for this year; high heeled shoes take on the quality of a monument.  With towering heels, the bigger and more elaborate the platform, the greater the appeal, mixing canvas and leather to bring you the ultimate of two worlds colliding and evolving from a beach espadrille into a platform shoe with a killer heel.

Once again we will see the shoe boot but with the added definition of studs.  The still popular peep toe boot is still on trend but for this year, it’s about the detail of the upper part of the shoe, look for texture, think reptilian and scales to add that extra factor to your footwear.  With shoe boots evoking a dagger like heel, there is no question that these are designed to add the wow to any outfit, even pyjamas.

This year look out for the weave, woven leather boots to raffia, there will be a stylish pair of boots to suit everyone and for every outfit.  The one key area to not be overlooked is the heel, pencil thin and elegant.

It’s not just about pencil thin heels, for those who need that extra bit of stability, welcome to the block heel, a firm favourite for those days when practicality is a must.  There will be wonderful designs to choose from, curved block heels to full on towering tree trunks.  The key will be the finish, think satin or wood, the covering of the heels is the trend.

This year is the year to make sure your footwear stands out, it maybe a year for penny pinching but when it comes to shoes and boots, there is always a way to indulge and go head over heels.

Prada Handbags 2011

Accessories are very important to the women’s image. And designer handbag always reveals your style and taste. Prada handbags are known all over the world. They have become synonyms of luxury and elegance. Nowadays Prada handbags are the most popular accessories. They are wanted and desired by women all over the world. That’s why every new Prada collection is a great event in the world of fashion.

All Prada leahter handbags are distinguished by elegant style, minimalism and quality materials. And new Prada 2011 collection is not an exception. It was named Resort and all the accessories are really luxury. Prada designers combine materials that were always thought to be incompatible and do it with wonderful elegance and style. The combination of contrast factures in Prada handbags looks especially fashionable and up-to-date. All Prada Cruise collection accessories are supreme, but a Twist line of handbags is worth special attention.  These handbags can be distinguished by an interesting combination of different types of leather, often exotic, gummy and flax.

But the most surprising about this collection is that expensive exotic leather is used only as decorative element in Twist Prada leather handbags. The handbags themselves are made from different unexpected types of textile and crocodile, alligator and snake leather makes them look extremely attractive and up-to-date. The tasteful combination of incompatible materials and elements is one of Prada known advantages. And the original design of Prada handbags 2011 is as always luxury but elegant. In the new collection flax materials create contrast with reptile leather that decorates all Prada Twist handbags. But if in other designers’ collections such combination could cause a disharmony in Prada handbags all element complement to each other creating original and stylish accessories.

Fur is especially popular decorative material in this season and it is also used in Prada new handbags collection. But it used very originally: pony fur decorates handbags made from flax and gummy. In these handbags zebra color is chosen for the fur, that’s why it only emphasizes the texture of handbag.

The Twist line Prada handbags can be distinguished by a new braided handles that are knitted from leather. These fashionable handles gave the name to new Prada handbags line. They also can be distinguished by new form of clasp. New Prada handbags have framework clasps like pursues. This makes them look extremely elegant and stylish. The color of the clasp is the same as of other decorative elements. In this collection blue, brown and green colors are used for decorative details and mainly beige color for handbags textile basement. The choice of colors here emphasizes the combination of contrast factures. Prada handbags have become an etalon of high quality. In Prada 2011 handbags collection the inner parts of all handbags are decorated with expensive exotic leather that repeats the color of the clasp.

In the new season a combination of different styles is in vogue and in Prada new handbags collection we find a mix of romantic style with the retro style. But the retro style doesn’t make Prada handbags look less modern; on the contrary they are all fashionable and up-to-date. More than that, all Prada handbags are practical and comfortable. They are quite universal and can be worn both at office and at special events. Prada handbags always create your image; emphasize your individual style and perfect taste. With such handbag you will always look elegant and fashionable.

GYPSY HERITAGE

As we learn from David Shah in the most recent issue of Viewpoint, a renewed interest in vanishing cultures is aiming to reconnect consumers to heritage and tradition through the objects they live with. Inspired by the gypsy folk culture of Hungary and Transylvania, Hungarian design duo A+Z set out to create an emotional connection to the stories and customs of their past, present and future through contemporary interior design.

Their collection, called “Gypsy”, celebrates the survival instinct, vividness and community cohesion of the Gypsy people of Hungary and Transylvania. It includes the Tuzhely low table containing a built-in camping gas stove for communal tea drinking; the Puli lounge chair with a perforated metal frame upholstered with recycled fabric strips, inspired by the Hungarian sheepdog; and the Tekno seat which is made from a natural aspen wooden shell, hand carved by Transylvanian Gypsy tribes and upholstered with black sheep’s wool. The duo, whose Budapest studio is located in an old weapon factory, says of the collection, the products of the Gypsy people and folk culture of our region have become overlooked or rendered unnecessary, but all have stories, souls and extinct crafts behind them. We wanted to give them new lives in a contemporary design context, keeping the narratives and souls but translating them with a modernist vocabulary.

FOCAL POINTS: CREATING THAT PALPABLE PRESENCE IN THE HOME

Converging colours create a pathway invariably leading the eye to a given spot. When the hues are bold and uniquely combined, the effect is even more intense. Ideal for the dining room or family room, Focal Points is a palette of the warm, advancing shades of muskmelon, clay and burnt coral, ultimately introduced to the drama of aurora red, rosebloom, honeysuckle pink, dahlia purple and the winey cordovan, making for theatrical, intriguing colour combinations.
